Dobbies Community Gardens Competition 2025

Ashchurch Rural Parish Council recently entered the Village Hall into a Community Gardens Competition at Dobbies Garden Centre, Tewkesbury. The prize was a wonderful selection of plants and planters — which we hoped to use to brighten up the Village Hall and support future community gardening groups.

Councillor Ian Parker and Councillor Sue Mitchell attended the event on Saturday 3rd May to represent the parish and find out if our entry had scooped the top prize!

Although we didn’t win this time, we were delighted to take part and are even more determined to make our Village Hall and green spaces as beautiful and welcoming as possible for everyone to enjoy.

We’d love to hear from residents who’d like to get involved in future gardening projects, planting days, or help us plan new ideas for our outdoor spaces.
