Walton Cardiff Village: Help Us Complete the Network!
To ensure equal coverage across all our local communities, we are actively working to install a defibrillator in Walton Cardiff Village and we are looking for a local host to help make it happen.
We are seeking a resident, business owner, or property manager willing to host the defibrillator cabinet on an easily accessible, external wall of their property.
What is required of a host?
-
Location: A visible, publicly accessible exterior wall available 24/7.
-
Power Supply: A small, low-voltage electrical connection may be needed to power an internal cabinet heater which ensures the battery remains operational during cold winter months.
If you live in Walton Cardiff village and are interested in hosting this vital piece of medical equipment or if you would like to find out more before committing please reach out to the parish council administrative team at admin@ashchurchrural-pc.gov.uk.
How to Act in an Emergency
If you suspect someone is experiencing a cardiac arrest dial 999 immediately.
The emergency call handler will provide you with the access code for the cabinet if required, direct you to the nearest operational unit and talk you through critical first-aid steps. Once opened, the defibrillator unit provides clear, automated voice instructions to guide you through every step. No prior medical training is necessary to save a life.
Together, we can ensure every corner of our parish is equipped to protect our residents!
