Locations of defibrillators

This map shows the locations of defibrillator units within the council area to help residents understand their distribution. It also shows locations submitted by other local councils to build up a national map.

Please note, this map is not definitive and may contain errors. It should not be used for emergency purposes.

In case of emergency, dial 999.

The parish council have installed three AEDs, defibrillators, in the parish. These are in the following locations:

  • Ashchurch at the Village Hall
  • Aston-on-Carrant on the wall of the first building on the right on entering the village
  • Pamington on the outside of Back into Action Physiotherapy, near Pamington Court farm

An AED, or automated external defibrillator, is used to help those experiencing sudden cardiac arrest. It’s a sophisticated, yet easy-to-use, medical device that can analyze the heart’s rhythm and, if necessary, deliver an electrical shock, or defibrillation, to help the heart re-establish an effective rhythm.

Hopefully you will never need to use one of these devices but in the event that one is required you would be directed to the nearest one by the health service professionals. The defibrillators can be used with no prior training as they guide the user with clear spoken prompts and once connected to the patient will make their own assessment of what is required and operate accordingly.
